A psychoactive drug of the phenylpiperazine class is meta-Chlorophenylpiperazine (m CPP). It was initially developed in the late 1970s and used in scientific research before being marketed as a designer drug in the mid-2000s. It has been found in pills marketed as legal substitutes for illegal stimulants in New Zealand and pills marketed as “ecstasy” in Europe and the United States.
m CPP, also known as 1-(3-chlorophenyl)piperazine, is a piperazine derivative with stimulant (including euphoric) and hallucinogenic properties. m CPP has never received a medical license but is a well-known mеtabolite of some anti-depressants (trazodone, nefazodone, enziprazole, and etoperidone) and a tranquilizer (mеррrаzole).
m CPP, was first reported in the middle of the 2000s throughout Europe, but it has since been reported in numerous other nations (such as the USA). The abusing behavior is comparable to that of “Ecstasy” for many users.
